Our Practice in Bond Head

Dr. Der graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1980 and is currently in private practice in Bond Head, Ontario. Dr. Der completed the Academy of Gp Orthodontics training program in 2000. 

Throughout his dental career, he has been a host dentist and clinical instructor in Toronto, the Academy’s first course outside of the US since 2002. He currently co-teaches the Toronto course alongside Dr. Holexa. He also teaches their New York, Orlando, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Douglassville (PA) courses. 

He received his Diplomate in Orthodontics from AGpO and the IAO and FAGD and MAGD in 2005. He is currently a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Academy of Gp Orthodontics. 

Currently, he is enrolled in a 3-year specialty class in orthodontics to achieve his Orthodontic Specialty Designation.

Dr. Najmeh Alishavandi, DDS, is passionate about providing each of her patients with the highest quality care. She pays great attention to preventive care and enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry, from improving aesthetics to retrieving function and relieving pain for patients of all ages.

With more than 10 years of experience, she creates a comfortable and relaxed environment for her patients. She strongly appreciates continuing education and updating her skills to always provide professional dental treatment.

Outside of the office, Dr. Alishavandi loves to spend time with her family and enjoys reading, cooking, and exercising.

Julia is a talented denturist and a valued member of the Hill Top Dental Centre team. She believes in helping patients to enhance their dentures, maximize their dental health, and improve their overall quality of life.

Julia worked as a denture technician for 8 years at a dental laboratory. She always wondered how the dentures would fit, feel, and look in the patient’s mouth. She wasn’t able to see these patients receive their dentures.

So, in 2009, Julia went to George Brown College to further her education. She successfully completed her board exam in 2012 and has had the privilege of working directly with her patients ever since.

Now, at Hill Top Dental Centre, Julia enjoys both creating and fitting each set of dentures and interacting with patients on a personal level. Her experience and knowledge make her a trusted denturist in our community.
